Hello,
I’ve been learning Mandarin since I was 10 years old when I lived in Taiwan with my patents. I continued my studies privately in High School with a Taiwanese tutor while I lived in East Lansing, MI. I returned to Taiwan at age 20 and studied at the Taiwan Daily News Language school for 2 years and then continued my studies for 2 more years at the University of Michigan. I also studied 1 more year at graduate school at Thunderbird Global Management School. In total, I think I had about 6 years of formal study while I was between 15 and 25 years old, but my Mandarin is quite rusty now. I need more practice speaking as I'm trying to find a job dealing with China. If you're a native speaker and would like to spend some time chatting with me on Skype sometime, please contact me.
