Skype is becoming a major means of communications around the world. I heard of it being used successfully for teaching (as in the case of SpeakMandarin.com) and even to receive phone calls by radio stations.

I thought some of you might want to share information and participate in a Language Exchange program via Skype, which I call SkyPals. Learn a language or exchange trade knowledge in the comfort of your home!

For SkyPal you need:

1. To be a member of MandarinFriends
2. A Skype account
3. Earphones and a microphone installed

Directions:

1. Post a message below
2. Introduce yourself
3. Include what language you want to learn
4. And what language you can teach
5. Email each other via MandarinFriends and exchange Skype usernames
6. Consider timezones and come to an agreement
7. Enjoy and Learn!

Great idea, Hugo!

Hi, I'm Lindsey, and I live in Valencia, California. I lived in Beijing for a few years, and I'd like to keep practicing Mandarin with someone on skype! I can help teach English in exchange for Mandarin. I am also interested in practicing Spanish too, so if you are fluent in either Mandarin or Spanish, please get in touch with me!

Thanks!
Lindsey

Hi, My name is Jing. I was born in Shandong, China. I have lived in China, Japan, France and now I live in the U.S(Bay area). I was a Chinese teacher in Tokyo. I can speak Japanese because I lived in Japan for 13 years.
My English is very poor, so I want to improve it. I would like to practise as much as I can.

Let's talk!
