The "Speak Mandarin in America" Free Course

This location is shown only to members

Due to an overwhelming response the course is already full, but it's okay to still send applications. We will add your information to the wait list for future series and contact you when available."

SpeakMandarin.com invites you to test our newly designed course: Speak Mandarin in America!

Do you need to use your Chinese in the U.S.? Do you wish to understand a little Chinese and the culture behind it when talking to a Chinese friend, meeting a Chinese teacher, communicating with a Chinese colleague, or ordering food from a Chinese restaurant? This new course customizes a series of classes to let you speak Chinese in different situations you will be encountering in your everyday life here in the U.S.

We invite 3 members of MandarinFriends, who are at high-novice or early intermediate level of Mandarin Chinese to take a series of group sessions and kindly give back feedbacks.

  • Sessions will start in early July and are complimentary.
  • There are five 50-min group sessions in total.
  • One session per Monday night. Five weeks in total.
  • If interested, please be sure to take the sessions in a persistent manner.
  • As selected participant, you will also be required to complete a survey at the end of the event.

For sign-up and further questions, please email Ji Liu via [masked].

PS> This is a cyber meetup taking place ONLINE. Do not attemp to visit the location at the specified time because you will find no one there.

I like the format. I had problems with my mike, but solved it afterwards.

We started on a rough start in that all of us were getting familiar with the new classroom environment. I was happy to hear the voices of our teacher, Hugo, and the rest of the students. I am sure that next class we will be able to cover much more material.

The Webex connection didn't work very well and as I student, I didn't get much of a chance to speak Chinese. I would prefer a more verbal interaction in the future.
